A New Life For A Table

April 4, 2013

The clock is ticking and time is drawing nearer to the Vintage Market . I was not able to work on any projects while my daughter was off on her spring break. Spending time with her is more important to me. And I still have time. This table had nice features it just needed a little update. Roses are a favorite of mine even when they are dried. I love the color and texture. I will be bringing some of these to the market as well. I did mention that this was a table that had been updated. I decided to use Annie Sloan chalk paint in a mixture of Louis Blue,Paris Grey, and French linen. Mixing these colors until I got the color I wanted which was a silver blue/grey. It came with this beautiful serving tray. Look at the details on this ... View Post

Italian Focaccia Sandwich

April 1, 2013

I am not sure if I shared this or not but my family and I are vegetarians. We decided to become vegetarians for health reasons. Eating healthier and taking better care of ourselves. One thing we like to indulge in is a sandwich. Here is a meal that is super easy and delicious too. This is not a low calorie meal for us but sort of a treat.   Panera has wonderful sea salt focaccia bread.   I made my own  basil pesto. I don't measure anything I just get a hand full of basil,a spoonful of parmesan cheese,a garlic clove a bit of sea salt and extra virgin olive oil.I mix this in a blender.Add enough oil to blend. You can search and find a pesto recipe.Normally it calls for pine nuts but I leave those out. Peel and clean a eggplant.Slice length ... View Post

Taking A Risk and Garden Art

March 31, 2013

Before I started my blog I was a  self DIY-er. When my daughter was small I remember working on small projects while she was taking her afternoon nap. One day I decided the piano should be white so I painted it. And then I thought my kitchen table, chairs and hutch would look amazing...painted....white! Or how about the time I decided that I should smash all my pretty rose pattern china. and..... do a mosaic on my kitchen counters! Wow how unique and cool. I mean how hard can it be. I have the china...... Well I got  to work smashing china pieces. Adding them in fun designs on my laminate counter tops. It was looking amazing. Really really pretty! I thought I was so cleaver at the time! Or so I thought I was! After I had it all done ... View Post

ABOUT THIS BLOG

ABOUT THIS BLOG

Hi I'm Anne.
I started this blog many years ago to share my passion for home decor. My tastes have changed and so did I.
We recently moved to Florida and we are starting a new chapter. My main focus on this blog has shifted. With that I'll be sharing more than home decor.
You'll see makeup tips, skincare, fashion and a little bit of decor as well. You can check out my Youtube channel as well and follow me along. I'll leave all of my older posts up as a reference. But you'll see lots of changes.
