Changes In My Master Bedroom

August 24, 2014

I am making changes in my master bedroom, well you know the saying one thing leads to another and since I just took my chaise lounge chair out of here and moved it into my studio,I needed to make a few changes in here too! I really did not need to make any new purchases I just shopped my own home for a few new pieces. I decided to add my vanity table to my corner, and I really have to say I love the natural light I have in this corner which is great when putting on make up and fixing my hair! That lingerie dresser was just moved over from the opposite side of the room. And since I love that chippy chair next to that piece,I moved that over to this side too! One problem I had was seeing the cords on the wall next to our armoire. Oh by the way I bet you noticed my large mirror is not ... View Post

Cleaning Organizing And Changing

August 21, 2014

So I told you that I was cleaning, organizing and changing things around right? Well the dining room was a piece of cake,my studio was another matter! It was pretty torn apart......literally,my friend was the only person I let see my room is disarray. And no I am not sharing those photos,I am trying to erase that memory from my mind! My studio is one of the most changed rooms in my house. It's actually a bedroom and so it's not really large. I am not complaining I am thankful to have even a small space. But I never seem to get this room right and I probably never will. And just so you know this room never stays this neat. I have tried but it's impossible. But I do my best cleaning  it up when I am finished with a project. That shelf was a recent find and the only new vintage ... View Post

It’s The Little Things

August 19, 2014

Sometimes it's the little things in life and in decorating that can make the biggest impact. It's no secret that I love vintage treasures, but sometimes hunting is the best part. I love surrounding myself with pieces that I love, and pieces that are not perfect but show the imperfections. As  I started putting things away from the sale and started organizing my studio I felt the urge to purge. I kept asking the question why am I keeping this piece or that piece? And while I am cleaning my studio and changing things around I feel the need to do the same in my home. But I don't want to by anything new. And I don't want everything changed. Somethings will stay as the were, because I like just the way it is. But it's the little things the small changes, like a fresh bouquet of ... View Post

Home Sale Lessons Learned

August 17, 2014

Yes I held my sale twice in two weeks, but I am so glad I did because it was a hug success the second time, and I would like to talk about my first home sale and lessons learned. So what did I learn? Marketing is key! I thought having such a large Facebook fan base was key. And it is helpful but most of those likes are for my blog. So many of you live in other states and countries too! I asked a very sweet friend of mine for a little advice. She has held many sales at her own home with success. She told me it's marketing! So  I made flyers with the event name, date and time with a brief description of what I would be selling. I went to several local businesses that sold items similar merchandise, and also businesses that I had a relationship with. One thing about my business is ... View Post

My Hopes And Dreams

August 15, 2014

Today is the last day of my Vintage sale, and as I was setting up and changing things around I started thinking about my hopes and dreams. I have always been a creative person,I love decorating and styling. Even as a child I always enjoyed re-decorating my room, which really meant moving my bed from one side to another,or sometimes on an angle. Let's see.... if someone asked me what would I would  like to do .... if I could what would it be? I would love to work as a stylist,or with a designer staging rooms or homes. And if that would involve shopping that would be a huge plus! I have to tell you I am getting giddy with excitement because after the sale I have a few projects up my sleeve, and I will be changing a few things around and tweaking. Because you never know who is ... View Post

ABOUT THIS BLOG

ABOUT THIS BLOG

Hi I'm Anne.
I started this blog many years ago to share my passion for home decor. My tastes have changed and so did I.
We recently moved to Florida and we are starting a new chapter. My main focus on this blog has shifted. With that I'll be sharing more than home decor.
You'll see makeup tips, skincare, fashion and a little bit of decor as well. You can check out my Youtube channel as well and follow me along. I'll leave all of my older posts up as a reference. But you'll see lots of changes.
