The Real Reveal…it’s HER room

February 10, 2013

I thought I would share with you what my daughters room looks like on a GOOD day. Remember this is a teenage girls room. She is very neat but let's be real  it does not look like this everyday. When we decided to change my daughters room there were a few things that still had to come back into her room. And as much as I would love it to stay the way I shared it with you it is not realistic. My daughter loves to read. Having her books in her room was something she still wanted. One of her favorite things to do is to read. And her favorite book series is Erin Hunters Warriors. Yes I know not very pretty. But it's her room. She also loves her special teddy that is pictured here on her bed. My daughter has had this sweet teddy in her room since she was a ... View Post

French Chic Bedroom Reveal

February 8, 2013

You may want to sit down with a cup of coffee or tea. I am sharing lots of photos with you all today. Where do I begin???? These photos I am about to share show a room on a PERFECT day. Let's just say Mom's dream day. This is not the way the room looks everyday. There were things my daughter still wanted in her room. But I don't think they make a pretty picture. So for today I am sharing my dream bedroom on a good day. I will share in another post what her room looks like on an average good day. I thought it would be fun to re-decorate my daughters room. Her walls needed a fresh coat of paint. And I thought why not make a change. She gave me carte blanche to do what ever I wanted. Yes she let me chose the color. I decided to use the same warm white I have used in my home. I ... View Post

Bringing new life to an old piece

February 6, 2013

While we are waiting for the  reveal of  my daughters room makeover I thought I would share a piece that I just brought into her room. It was in much need of repair so I knew paint would look amazing on this piece. Some may cringe when they see the before photo and wonder why I would paint such a lovely piece. But as I said it needed much repair. Parts of the wood were chipping off. Some water damage too. But since I knew what I wanted to do and was looking for a distressed piece that was going to work for my benefit. Isn't this a lovely piece! This dresser was found at a thrift store. My original intent was to paint this and sell it.But after thinking about it I could not part with it. That mirror is not original to this piece. But was found at a thrift ... View Post

Groundhog Day

February 3, 2013

Yesterday was Groundhog day.Seems like a silly celebration really. All the commotion over a furry animal that supposedly predicts if it will be an early spring or not. But in 1993 a film crew came to Woodstock Illinois to  film the movie Groundhog day.And ever since they left this town has been celebrating  groundhog day in a big way! People anxiously awaiting the announcement. We arrived there bright and early in the morning. The temperature was 18.It was quite cold. Bright and early all bundled up. Not pictured here is a photo local paper took . Can't see my face but you can see me standing with a gold coat, sporting my camera and Jeanne Oliver camera bag you can see that if you visit HERE This is where Scooter the groundhog makes his ... ABOUT THIS BLOG

ABOUT THIS BLOG

Hi I'm Anne.
I started this blog many years ago to share my passion for home decor. My tastes have changed and so did I.
We recently moved to Florida and we are starting a new chapter. My main focus on this blog has shifted. With that I'll be sharing more than home decor.
You'll see makeup tips, skincare, fashion and a little bit of decor as well. You can check out my Youtube channel as well and follow me along. I'll leave all of my older posts up as a reference. But you'll see lots of changes.
