MAKEUP FOR MATURE SKIN

Chandeliers have that special sparkle that makes my heart sing. And I have to confess...I have been hiding a secret from you all.Something I was embarrassed about and still cannot show you. Really...... We had some and still do have a few not so pretty light fixtures that the builder put in. You know those cheap ugly brass fixtures. Still I cannot share with you the before photos. Slowly as my budget allows I have been replacing them. Very recently I came across two matching chandeliers. I liked the style and size but......the glass prisms were painted! Well if you follow along with me on my facebook page you would have heard that  our dishwasher bit the dust. Yes we were doing our dishes by hand.When I told my daughter we would have to wash dishes by hand she said "Like in the olden days". Yes just like in the olden days....am I that old!? After some researching we decided on this Kitchenaide dishwasher.And no this is not a sponsored post. I have to tell you so far I am very happy with this.It is really quiet.I would not say silent as you can hear it a bit as the water is filling.But after that it is almost silent.And the dishes come out clean and dry! I shared this earlier today but in case you missed it. On Saturday my family and I spent the day in Wisconsin Dells.It was fun getting away for the day.And the weather was perfect! It's such a pretty day today besides doing photo shoots inside I decided to take some photos of my David Austin roses. Love these and for the life of me I cannot remember what variety they are.But I fell in love with the color and amazing scent. I need to keep an eye on these.It seems the Japanese beetles are fond of these too! Big announcement.......I am going to be co-hosting The Scoop weekly party! I told you I have been lucky finding some unique treasures while out thrift shopping.And this Venus de Milo statue is one of my new found finds. I usually am not attracted to pieces like this.But it was in poor shape.It has several chips and cracks I guess that is why I fell for it. Imperfections are perfection to me. I was not happy with the color though so I decided to paint over it with some white paint I had already on hand.I was not trying to hide any imperfections but it was dull and dirty looking.It needed a bit of freshening up!
