WHAT DOES 50 LOOK LIKE WITHOUT PLASTIC SURGERY?
So what does 50 look like without plastic surgery? Check out the photos below to see what I looked like several years ago and now. I have never had any procedures or surgery. I have nothing against either of those. But I don’t think it’s necessary to go down that road. And I personally feel like procedures can end up making someone look older than they are. Or look their age but you can see they’ve had stuff done. My skin is not perfect and no one has perfect skin. But I do feel that my skin has aged backwards with what I’ve been using. I don’t feel like it’s ever too late to start taking care of your skin.Make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel. I share makeup and skincare tips for mature women.
WHAT SKINCARE WORKS
I remember hearing JLO share that this is what 50 looks like. She didn’t say without surgery but she was implying it. She has had many surgeries and procedures. I’m going to share what I’ve done to stay looking youthful and I promise you that I’ve never had surgery other than my lip as it was a birth defect and a c-section. How’s that for keeping it real. But as for my aging I haven’t done anything to alter it other than using specific skincare.
As we age our skin changes. With those changes we need to look for skincare that will help boost collagen production, protect our skin and also exfoliate to help produce cell turn over. These are things that our bodies stop as we age. My number one tip is to protect your skin from the sun. The sun can break down collagen production and cause premature aging.
- SUNSCREEN-Always wear a sunscreen, reapply it and wear a hat as well. Use an SPF OF 50 on your face.
- VITAMIN C SERUM-is and antioxidant. It will protect your skin from sun damage. It helps to minimize the look of lines and wrinkles and hyperpigmentiation. The vitamin C serum I prefer is from Truth Treatments. Use code ANNE20 for 20% off at Freeze Beauty.
- CHEMICAL EXFOLIATOR(acids)- Latic acid-stimulates collagen production and adds moisture, Glycolic acid-Helps increase cell turnover, stimulates collagen production. Salicylic acid-Increases cell turnover, prevents pores from being blocked with oils.
Both are made from vitamin A. They help to promote skin cell turnover. You can purchase a retinol product in a store a retin-a is prescribed. I’ve used both and I prefer using a retinol. I was using trentinoin and I was continually peeling. So even though it was beneficial to my skin it never looked it’s best. The retinol that I absolutely love is from Truth Treatments. You only use a tiny amount on your face and neck if it will tolerate it. I’ve been using the 1% but recently bumped to a 5% one time a week. In total I use this 3 times a week. Use code ANNE20 for 20% off at Freeze Beauty.
WHAT 6 PRODUCTS DO YOU NEED?
if you want to look good at 50 without plastic surgery this is all you need.
- CLEANSER- to remove makeup and sunscreen
- CHEMICAL EXFOLIATOR
- VITAMIN C SERUM
That’s all you need to use on your face. There are other products that say they will lift and firm but the only thing that will work is something that contains collagen. Will you still have sagging? Yes of course but you can prevent or at least slow things down if you use these products. I’ve never had any procedure or surgery to fix my appearance as I’m aging. I’ve been doing it all with a healthy lifestyle and skincare.
