Every year Santa always brings Tabitha our cat some tasty treats and a toy.She always enjoys her treats but rarely enjoys her toys.Oh yes she will play with them for a bit and then loses interest. She is happy with a cardboard box and some rolled up pieces of paper.....seriously!This year we decided that Santa should bring her something different....something homemade.I searched on line for some ideas for cat toys and I found at tutorial on making a Cat playhouse on Martha Stewart's website.I used three boxes for this. And let me tell you this is not a fast project it took me several hours to do.I did not have a sharp knife I was using what I had. Also this is NOT a project for little ones.Since most of this is using a sharp knife/razor and hot glue it is NOT recommended to do this with a ... An Early Christmas Gift…Mary
I am sure you noticed that I have a fondness for Mary statues.I am not Catholic but there is something beautiful about these statues.I have two of these and recently was given one as a gift. After a recent visit with my Mom she noticed my Mary statue in my dining room.Along with my Rosaries she questioned why I have these since I am not Catholic.I told her that I find them beautiful and love to display them in my home. After speaking with her she told me that she had one that she wanted to give me.When she handed this to me she had told me this is one she had since she was a small child. She painted this when she was in kindergarten. But she had it tucked away for years. I asked her why I have never seen this.In all my years of childhood I have NEVER seen this sweet Mary statue. She could ... View Post
