Wow can you believe today is the last day of September? Where does the time go? I am starting to clip my hydrangea branches off. Just bringing them in to enjoy before they go. I found a lovely bouquet at the market today. The colors are a soft pink with a soft peachy color. Adding some of my hydrangeas to the mix. I only pick fresh flowers up when they are on sale. And this week they were. They look pretty propped on my little pink step ladder in my dining room. Are you ready to party? Well let's get it started! Welcome back to The Scoop The weekly linky party featuring the scoop on the best posts from around the web! More exposure + less time = win win! Making Changes To A Corner
I recently made some changes to my corner of my kitchen. If you follow me on instagram you saw a sneak peek at this vintage door. One of my favorite antique shops had this sweet door! Not only the door but that sconce was part of the deal. I thought about it for a bit and decided to purchase it. When I bring new treasures into my home that also means I need to let somethings go. That included a door that I had previously in my family room. Not the door that my friend Kris from Junk Chic Cottage gave me. But the door I found at a garage sale. That door will be sold in a upscale thrift shop in town. Don't you love this sweet hankie hanging on this sconce. Yes the pearls...and the hankie came with this door. I loved how she staged it and kept it as ... View Post

Chic Vintage Find
As you know we will be starting construction soon of our screened porch.Recently I came across this chic vintage set of wrought iron chairs and a metal table. First lets talk about the table. I forgot to take a photo of the table before, but the color was hunter green. And it was a thrifty find for 4.99! The size and shape were just what I was looking for our screened in porch. As I was driving home I spotted a set of four vintage wrought iron chairs. Yes this is what they looked like before. They are all in great condition. I love the bit of rust and chippy patina on the metal. But the cushions were dirty and stained from age. I tried cleaning them but the dirt would not budge. I decided to paint them using Annie Sloan Chalk paint in Coco and Old ... View Post
The Scoop
Thank you so much for the sweet responses to my photos. With so many of you liking number 3 that is the one I chose! I will be adding that photo to my side bar. The hostess for this weeks party is Linsey! Welcome back to the Scoop Link Party! Just a couple of new things to share with ya'll today... First of all, I finally got around to adding little burlap curtains to my hutch! I bought this hutch for $75 from a thrift store a couple of years ago and they had lost the doors to it. So now I can hide that unsightly clutter! I found these cute little pre-made curtains on ebay for cheap. Sorry about the yellow pic. I took this just now, late at night with no good light source. Also...I think the chairs look a bit funky. I'm trying to phase out my ... View Post
Barn Door And A Self Portrait
I have been wanting to change my self portrait for awhile now, and recently while driving by an old barn the door really struck me as a perfect spot for a self portrait. The photo I have on my blog was taken over the winter. I needed one to share in Kerryanne's magazine Shabbilicious. During the cold winter months you can't find a good location to take a photo. It is too cold and well there is usually lots of snow on the ground. I surely would not have a photo taken without a winter coat on. I am going to be honest here: I really don't like my photo taken. I have never been a photogenic person. And the older I get the less I like photos of myself. But when you have a blog it is important to share a photo of yourself. I feel you can get a real ...
