And The Cow Says Moo Vintage Milk Pitcher

September 15, 2013

I am busy gathering and decorating for fall.Recently I came across this vintage milk pitcher.

I knew it would work perfectly in my home not only for fall but year round!

This pitcher is in amazing condition on the outside.

It almost looks brand new.

But in the inside there are cracks and crazing.

I can imagine this on a farmhouse table at one time filled with fresh milk right from a cow!

We are having a rainy day here today.

Not much sunlight for photos.

I decided to shoot photos of  vintage milk pitcher  on my favorite pink chippy chair.

I moved our farmhouse table out of the way and put the chair in the best light we have in our house right now the patio door in our kitchen.

But that is about to change very soon.

The lighting in this room will get a little more shade.

We have lived in our home for 7 years.

One of the reasons I have never really shared my yard is because….well….. there is not much to look at.

We have no patio… no deck…nothing….zip!

My husband and I  have been waiting and saving to add a screened in porch for our back yard.

We enjoy sitting outside but with the wasps, mosquitoes and other insects it is not enjoyable for us.

Instead of putting in a deck or a patio we waited patiently until we could get what we wanted.

This weekend we met with our builder to go over some details.

In the next couple of weeks the process will begin.

Although we will not enjoy it until next spring ……it is very exciting news for us!

And  you know my head is swirling with ideas of how I am going to decorate.

I have a fun idea for the floor finish which I will share and talk about later!

I got a little off track didn’t I…okay back to fall decorating.

This week at Live Creatively Inspired we will be sharing lots of fall inspiration.

At the end of the week you all will be able to join in on a linky party to share your fall inspiration!

Your little pitcher is so cute, Anne.
Putting on a screened in porch will be worth every penny you’ve saved for this project. We have one, and when spring rolls around I can hardly wait to spend time out there.

Very pretty! I love the wheat too. And congrats on getting a porch. We have a screened in porch and it’s wonderful to go out early and drink coffee. No more mosquitoes but you do have to be careful of crickets, they eat screen. We have little holes in ours where they’ve been munching.

Pretty-pretty-pretty. It is fun to see that wheat is making an appearance again. It has been “away” for a few years and I love how it looks.

It will be fun to see your new screened room going up. I’ll bet you are just swimming with ideas- xo Diana

I can’t imagine not being able to enjoy the out of doors. We literally live outside of our house 9 months of the year. Now that I am retired, I think many winter days we will also live outside.

Can’t wait to see your new porch.

I love almost anything that has to do with cows! Your pitcher is vintage loveliness. Oh, I bet you are super excited about plans for a screened in porch! I know you will love it. I wish we would have screened in our porch but I love having a cover over it and skylights to let in more light. I’m sure you will have lots to share next spring.

ABOUT THIS BLOG

ABOUT THIS BLOG

Hi I'm Anne.
I started this blog many years ago to share my passion for home decor. My tastes have changed and so did I.
We recently moved to Florida and we are starting a new chapter. My main focus on this blog has shifted. With that I'll be sharing more than home decor.
You'll see makeup tips, skincare, fashion and a little bit of decor as well. You can check out my Youtube channel as well and follow me along. I'll leave all of my older posts up as a reference. But you'll see lots of changes.
