Vintage French Bistro Set

April 24, 2014

Yesterday while treasure hunting I was thrilled to come across this lovely vintage French bistro set.

The color is perfect and has a little chippy paint, although I don’t think this is the original paint.

french style patio

Our yard is still a mess from the construction, well mostly our garden.

I have a crew coming next week to help get our garden back into shape.

We have lots of rocks here, you dig into the soil you hit a rock not fun when you are doing the edging or planting.

Because this will be a big job , my husband and I decided to hire a gardening crew to get things started.

woodbistroset

As much as I would like to show you my screened in porch it’s not happening until we get our yard cleaned up,it’s not a pretty site.

But I may still take photos of how it looks now once it looks pretty.

I think you will like seeing the before and after.

pink shabby tote

I wonder what my neighbors think of me setting this vignette up and taking photos.

Only one of my neighbors knows that I have a blog.

(That sweet pink tote and pitcher are available in the SHOP)

I am keeping this French bistro set on this side patio.

It’s nice to have extra seating and it can easily fit inside our porch.

pitcher of roses

Love these roses but I am looking forward to cutting my own from my garden.

I am planning on planting more rose bushes and perennials.

I won’t get everything planted this season, something will wait until next year.

It can be very expensive buying perennials and shrubs, and it’s also good not to buy too many because it’s more watering that must be done.

And we usually go through a drought starting in July.

Love your bistro set, Anne. I hear you on the expense of landscaping! It is a commitment once the $ is invested to continuously water; otherwise, you may as well just watch those dollars circle the drain. Have a great weekend.

Thank you Rita! Yes it is an investment, usually we plant in the fall which is better but I want an instant garden this year with my daughters graduation party.

Hey there! Remember me? We met at Kris’ last summer. Do you mind telling me how much you paid for the bistro set? I have been looking high and low, saw a few and just don’t know what a fair price is. Can you send me an email?

    Happy Weekend, Anne!

    XO,
    Jane

    Anne,

It’s gorgeous! What a lucky find. We are in the process of fencing in our front lawn a bit so that we can contain our two dogs after we throw open the doors to our dogtrot and enjoy the lovely breezes. I’m looking for a small bistro set like yours, so that we can enjoy our large front porch much more than we do now.

    Congrats!

ABOUT THIS BLOG

ABOUT THIS BLOG

Hi I'm Anne.
I started this blog many years ago to share my passion for home decor. My tastes have changed and so did I.
We recently moved to Florida and we are starting a new chapter. My main focus on this blog has shifted. With that I'll be sharing more than home decor.
You'll see makeup tips, skincare, fashion and a little bit of decor as well. You can check out my Youtube channel as well and follow me along. I'll leave all of my older posts up as a reference. But you'll see lots of changes.
