Rusty Vintage Side Table

April 22, 2013

The Vintage Market is over.

So many people came out I am very thankful.

I shared a few photos on instagram.

Many vendors had to deal with flooded basements and roads.

Our area was hit hard.

As was other fellow bloggers including Jennifer Rizzo that had a flooded basement.

And Mark from room 363.

In her Jennifer’s town  and many others people are without so much right now.

And in my area too.

The water amounts are unimaginable.

Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers.

I have to be honest it was not easy doing the show.

Knowing what had happened around me.

But I was committed and did not want to back out.

And I am glad I didn’t.

I met some wonderful fellow bloggers and shoppers too!

People that follow my little blog.

I was humbled to have met them all!

And for a short time I forgot about all the troubles around me.

This sweet little table was my souvenir from the market.

I fell head over heals as soon as I spotted it.

Just the right amount of rust.

And the perfect shade of pink that I seem to be falling for lately.

I decided to add this to the center of my dining room table for now.

There is another recent find I can’t wait to share with you.

This is lovely. I’m glad you ended up having a good time at the market…I’m sure it was very hard when so many were dealing with the horrible flooding. Have a good week Anne!

Oh no, I’m so sorry about the flooding! Yikes. I’m glad you enjoyed the market, though.

I am so glad the show went well for you! I love, love, love your new little table! I have a weakness for rusty metal! I have several friends in IL that had flooded basements. Some of my old neighbors were showing photos of how much the water has rose around the houses on facebook. It looked scary!

That is a lovely little vintage table and I am glad you were able to get it. I feel sorry for all the people being flooded. We don’t have a problem at our house as long as that sub pump keeps working! Does make me nervous. Enjoy your new purchase! Nancy

The little pink table atop your dining table is perfect with its ironstone planter.

I love that table! The plant looks beautiful on top. Lovely photos! We have flooding in our area of the country as well. Feeling so bad for many people right now. I’m visiting from Tuesdays the Scoop link party at The Farmhouse Porch. Have a wonderful day! ~ Jamie

Our basement flooded pretty bad and I was committed to a show too! It’s a hard choice to make but we went through with the market. So much devastation from all that rain.
    Gorgeous table!

    Hi Anne,
My friend and I had such a good time at the Vintage Market on Friday, despite the unpleasant weather. I had to laugh when I read this post, because I bought the twin to your pink garden table! I just couldn’t resist the rusty pink finish. I saw a gal carrying them outside right after I arrived and thought she was buying them . But she actually was just moving them to a different location. I felt it was just meant to be that I buy one and it’s fun knowing who took home her “sister!”

Hi Anne, You were on my mind with the show, that I know you worked hard on, and all the rain. So glad it went well and love your table! I have one very similar, only in that wonderful old minty green . I have kept up with all the rain and flooding problems thru my son. He was lucky with just some never before leaking in their newly made over basement/TV media room. But his father-in-law was not so lucky and he has been helping them with their flooding. Hope things are better now. xoxo

ABOUT THIS BLOG

Hi I'm Anne.
I started this blog many years ago to share my passion for home decor. My tastes have changed and so did I.
We recently moved to Florida and we are starting a new chapter. My main focus on this blog has shifted. With that I'll be sharing more than home decor.
You'll see makeup tips, skincare, fashion and a little bit of decor as well. You can check out my Youtube channel as well and follow me along. I'll leave all of my older posts up as a reference. But you'll see lots of changes.
