White Lace Cottage

June 26, 2014

One of the reasons I decided to name this my White Lace Cottage is because of my love of lace,I have been in love with lace for many years especially vintage lace.

Many years ago I came across lots of scrap pieces of lace, and one piece was from a vintage skirt.

Considering how old this piece is, it’s in amazing condition.

Still pretty much in tack, and it is so soft.

I thought I would add a touch of lace to my vintage washstand table I have next to our bed in our room.

Gently draped over the bar on this washstand.

It adds a touch of romance and softness to our room.

I am very fortunate that my sweet husband enjoys the little feminine touches I add to our home.

I love vintage blue ball jars and this one has a lovely shade of blue.

It works perfectly with this sweet bouquet of pink roses.

I like your lace draped over the washstand like that. We’re both lucky to have husbands that don’t have to have the house look like a man cave!

Hi Anne. That looks so pretty and what a beautiful piece of lace. I wish I had known years ago that I loved lace! You and I are so lucky, liking what we do, that we have a partner that enjoys it too. Can you imagine how terrible it would be to have to give up the things you love just to keep peace. Happy Thursday..Judy

It is nice to have a male partner that doesn’t mind some frilly stuff. My hubs is ok with some but just not getting too much. How much is too much? Somehow I seem to feel when it’s too much for him and pull back. The piece of lace on your wash stand is exceptionally gorgeous. Love how it looks on wash stand bar. I’ve never been much at all for lacey things to wear but do enjoy having some in home, our room on bed, ideas like that.
    Happy summer days

*sigh* the lace is the perfect touch to a lovely spot. Love the soft pink roses with the blue vase. I love lace too, there’s just something so perfectly romantic about it.

This is so beautiful. I am glad my husband also “likes” feminine touches–he at least doesn’t mind! 🙂

ABOUT THIS BLOG

ABOUT THIS BLOG

Hi I'm Anne.
I started this blog many years ago to share my passion for home decor. My tastes have changed and so did I.
We recently moved to Florida and we are starting a new chapter. My main focus on this blog has shifted. With that I'll be sharing more than home decor.
You'll see makeup tips, skincare, fashion and a little bit of decor as well. You can check out my Youtube channel as well and follow me along. I'll leave all of my older posts up as a reference. But you'll see lots of changes.
