What’s New In The Shop

December 1, 2014

Last week was a busy and short week, and because Thanksgiving was Thursday I did not share what's new in the shop. I can't believe today is December 1st! It was fun getting out today, and meeting up with a few of my friends  in the blogging and junking world. Kris from Junk Chic cottage,Lynn from The Vintage Nest and Janet from Lucky Junk! We met up for breakfast and a little shopping too, sorry no photos we forgot to bring our cameras. But if you follow me on facebook you  probably saw a photo from my phone. Okay lets see what's new in the shop this week! First is this lovely rose painting,it is a one of a kind. Not sure how old it is,I would say vintage not antique. The rose's are exquisite! Isn't this gorgeous! This would make a lovely gift for yourself or someone ... View Post

How To Photograph A Tree At Night

November 30, 2014

I wanted to show some unstaged photos of my living room and Christmas tree at night, and share how to photograph a tree at night. There is something magical about a tree at night. When the lights are on,there is a soft glow and a twinkle on each and every ornament. Even in the glass on my vintage door the reflection is so magical! If you peek through the windows you can see our outdoor lights. As with the inside of our home I keep things really simple outside. Wreaths on the windows, red bows and well, I will have to take some photos soon to show you. I am sure we will get a little snow between now and Christmas,I would like to share it then. I have been asked before how why my tree glows so bright and how many lights do I have on my tree. I think I only have 250 ... View Post

Holiday Master Bedroom

November 28, 2014

Today I am sharing my holiday master bedroom as part of the home for the holidays tour. Since I am a part of so many tours this year I have been sharing a room with each tour. For the past few years I have wanted a white tree in our bedroom. I found the perfect tree at Walmart! My vintage shabby ornaments look perfect on this white tree, and the lights are so pretty. They have a soft pastel color. Do you wrap your presents in a special spot of your home? I wrap gifts in our bedroom,I don't know why but I always have. I guess it's the only spot in our house where I can close the door and really have privacy. And you need privacy when wrapping gifts for your family :-) I kept my old garden gate on this wall,it makes the perfect backdrop for my tree. I made my tree skirt this ... View Post

Lynch Creek Farms Giveaway

November 24, 2014

I was searching for fresh wreaths and garland and I stumbled onto Lynch Creek Farms. I was drawn to the beauty and style of there wreaths and garland. And then I read their story. Lynch Creek Farm started out as a hobby, they needed something to keep there children busy and out of trouble. They started out with an organic farm back in 1984,where they sold there goods at the Olympia Farmers Market. It's  the 2nd largest farmers market in Washington State and they still sell there today. I love the story of this family and business. They worked hard and made their dream a reality. You can see the love and care with each piece. When these arrived at my door each piece was packed very well, with a message on the box to make sure and open this right away! As soon as I opened this ... View Post

ABOUT THIS BLOG

ABOUT THIS BLOG

Hi I'm Anne.
I started this blog many years ago to share my passion for home decor. My tastes have changed and so did I.
We recently moved to Florida and we are starting a new chapter. My main focus on this blog has shifted. With that I'll be sharing more than home decor.
You'll see makeup tips, skincare, fashion and a little bit of decor as well. You can check out my Youtube channel as well and follow me along. I'll leave all of my older posts up as a reference. But you'll see lots of changes.
