CHANEL SPRING SUMMER 2024 MAKEUP REVIEW
Sharing the new Chanel Coral Treasure eye shadow palette that’s part of the new Chanel Spring summer 2024 collection.
I decided not to review the Chanel spring summer collection on my YouTube channel as a review because this limited edition is hard to find. But I will share some thoughts after using it that may save you some money. I did also order the Rivage palette but haven’t received it yet.
And before I get into my thoughts I had to track the Coral Treasure eye shadow and Rivage down because as of typing this post it’s not available on Chanel’s website. I ordered Coral Treasure from the Boutique in Scottsdale Arizona and had it shipped. The Rivage is coming from Bloomingdale’s via shippment as well because it also was not available for me to purchase in person.
Even though the Rouge Allure lip collection isn’t part of the spring collection I did purchase one that I will also share my thoughts on as well.
CHANEL CORAL TREASURE
This Four pan palette features vibrant colors are inspired by the ocean and were created by Valentina Li. It features a combination of iridescent and aquatic tones.
In the pan the colors are gorgeous and vibrant and one would think that the shadows would be just as vibrant on. But these took sometime for me to build up on my eyes.
I love the color story of this palette because it is quite unique in my opinion for Chanel. The past releases have been very neutral with more warn and brown or golden tones. This one has a nice pop of color but if you’re expecting this to be really vibrant news flash it isn’t. If you are a Chanel collector than I recommend it if not take a pass. They have other palettes with better color pay off than this one. And don’t let my photos fool you. I have to really work to get these to show up on my lids. Good luck finding it. Since this is limited edition it’s been sold out everywhere. It is available on e-bay but I wouldn’t recommend paying an exuberant amount for it because it’s not worth the retail price.
ROUGE ALLURE VELVET NUIT BLANC LIPSTICK 07:00
This lipstick is inspired by actor Margot Robbie. In the collection there are eight shades. The most popular is 07:00. It’s a very pale coral pink that depending on your natural lip color may or may not show up. On mine it’s barely visible unless I’m wearing a lip liner filled in.
Below is the lipstick without a gloss. Lipliner is Stupid Cupid from Veive. But it’s not filled in.
Photo below is with the lip liner filled in and lipstick applied on top with a gloss. Both of these photos were taken without a flash in front of a window and only edited to zoom way in. The lighting and colors were not edited.
This lipstick goes on satin but dries to a matte finish. It doesn’t wear well and feels a bit drying for me on it’s own. I love the color of this lipstick but unfortunately because of my natural lip color it doesn’t show well.
It’s too bad because of love this pop of color but it barely shows up on my lips. I do love the packaging on this.Again if you are a collector of Chanel you’ll love this for the packaging alone. But I don’t personally care for this formula. I do have Chanel Rouge Allure #191 and it doesn’t feel as dry on my lips as this one does.
Just a recap I love the color story of the Coral Treasure palette but the formula was a miss for me and the Rouge Allure 07:00 is a gorgeous color but on it’s underwhelming.
I hope this was helpful if you’re deciding on whether or not to splurge on either. If I can find links I will add them if you’re curious but it’s not been easy finding any of these.
