Gift Giving Ideas

November 6, 2015

The holiday season is fast approaching us, and yes it’s that time of the year to not only think about decorating our homes for the season.

But also to start thinking about gift ideas.

for the Shabby Chic Lover

That can be stressful for many, trying to come up with ideas for gifts.

I’m teaming up with over 60 blogs, as we share gift ideas for everyone on your list.

From gifts for him, for her, for kids, for garden lovers, vintage lovers and so on.

I am sharing some of my favorite things that I think you will love too.

I picked things that would make wonderful gifts for anyone on your list that love shabby chic style.

And hey, if it’s something that you have on your own wish list, you can pass this along to someone as an idea of what you would like.

And at the end of this post, you’ll have a chance to win a paint kit, courtesy of Heirloom Traditions Paint.

Let’s take a look at each one of these, and let me share why I picked each.

1). Vintage Distressed Off White Iron Rack

I love this metal rack.

I’ve share the one I have in my kitchen, and I use mine for my coffee mugs.

But this can also be used for a crafter, just hang ribbons, scissors or anything crafty that can be hung.

This also works great during the Christmas season.

Hang ornaments and use it as a mini tree.

It’s multipurpose makes it a perfect gift!

The distressed look on this one is perfectly shabby chic too!

2). Rachel Ashwell Prairie Couture

index

What can I say, this is probably one of my favorite books ever! If you don’t have this book make sure you put it on your wish list, or better yet purchase it for a friend who loves Shabby Chic style.

It’s filled with beautiful inspiring photos, you will not want to put this book down.

Some decorating books lose there flair after many years.

But I’ve never felt that way about Rachel’s books.

I have almost everyone, but this is by far my favorite!

3). Heirloom Traditions White Lace Cottage Signature Paints

heirloom-traditions-white-lace-cottage-shabby-chic-signature-paint-line-4-of-65-600x506

If you haven’t tried these paints yet, make sure to put it on your wish list, or purchase it for a friend.

I am thrilled to be a part of an amazing paint line, and I promise you once you try this paint you will see why it’s so different from all the other paints on the market.

After the holidays many of us are going to start changing things around our homes.

Paint would make a wonderful gift for someone looking for a few changes.

4). Romantic Country Magazine

61sVDlLV9ML._SY300_

The ultimate Christmas gift a year subscription to this beautiful magazine.

Wouldn’t this be an amazing gift to receive?

I love curling up on my favorite chair and reading this beautiful magazine.

These issues come out 4 times a year, so it’s not an overload of too many magazines.

5). Pewter Table Clock Aqua

51-qwUa7-9L._SX425_

Isn’t this a pretty clock!

I love the color and the distressing, perfect for any room of your home.

But I think I would add this to my bedroom.

If you have a Shabby Chic lover, I’m sure they would love to receive this, I know I would!

6). Super Soft Faux Fur Throw

soft throw

There is nothing better than snuggling with a warm throw.

And this one is super soft and luxurious.

I bought one last winter, and it’s one of my favorite throws during the cold winter months.

It’s so soft and super warm.

When your not using it, it looks amazing tossed on a chair.

7). Handwarmer Mug

81S5gal7s0L._SL1500_

Have you ever seen or heard of this mug before?

I hadn’t but discovered these while I was out shopping one day, and I knew I had to have one.

It’s a little on the expensive side for one mug.

But this is a gift idea that I know someone would love to receive.

You slip your hand inside that little pocket, and it really does keep your hand warm

It’s also very comfortable to hold too.

I really love the color on this one.

If you gave this as a gift, a selection of sample coffees or teas would be nice.

8). Shabby Chic Wood Angel Wings

12205097_10154181989275288_1101196832_n

Aren’t this beautiful!

This would make a wonderful gift for the Shabby Chic lover in your life.

I have a pair of wooden Angel wings and I leave mine all all year round!

Well, I hope I gave you lots gift ideas for the shabby chic lover in your life.

If i could have anything for Christmas for myself, I would wish for two weeks off from work so i could remake my old ugly kitchen table into a wide planked cottage table – which includes sanding & painting the frame and legs! I love projects and I love painting and transforming the ordinary into something special and unique.

The gift I’m most hoping to get for Christmas isn’t really for me. I’m wishing for a new cat tree, our old one is worn out and it doesn’t have a low enough level for my senior handicapped girl to get up on. There are a ton of things I’d love to get but nothing I ‘need’. Wonderful guide, I’ve always liked the Shabby Chic look.

This year it is all about making my grown children and grandchild have a good Christmas. Its not about the things for me but the memories.

I would wish for our Daughter to become part of our lives again. We love & miss her so much! I would love to wish that all these people that are fighting such a battle with their health now~I would wish, that they would all be cured & be healthy. That would be the greatest gift that anyone could ever give or receive!

My Christmas wish list would definitely include animals- so I’d like to request a sanctuary where I could bring animals in need. I’d need a full medical staff and an army of kind humans to assist in the love giving that these animals would require. Healing for the animals would bring healing to a lot of the kind humans, as well. That’s my Christmas wish! Dream big, right? 🙂

All I want for Christmas is to share one more special celebration with my Mom. It will be through shared traditions and in spirit only because on November 6 she went to her heavenly home. I miss you, Mom!

I would like angel wings. They remind me of prayer cards we received in school. I imagined those beautiful angels with their wings wrapped around me and protecting me with their love.

I would love to have paint to finish my craft room/she cave for Christmas, but most of all, I want all my children home for Christmas and my youngest son not to have to go to the Middle East with his military unit.

ABOUT THIS BLOG

ABOUT THIS BLOG

Hi I'm Anne.
I started this blog many years ago to share my passion for home decor. My tastes have changed and so did I.
We recently moved to Florida and we are starting a new chapter. My main focus on this blog has shifted. With that I'll be sharing more than home decor.
You'll see makeup tips, skincare, fashion and a little bit of decor as well. You can check out my Youtube channel as well and follow me along. I'll leave all of my older posts up as a reference. But you'll see lots of changes.
