Adding Style To A Serving Tray

February 26, 2014

I found this tray months ago and fell for the the shabby white paint job.

It’s an old weathered tray that was painted the perfect shade of white.

But it was missing something,I knew if I brought it home an idea would come to me that could give this a little more personality.

I am always looking for fabrics, even scraps when I am out treasure hunting and one day I came across this gorgeous piece.

It had a vintage look to it,sort of reminded me of vintage wall paper.

Not really thinking that I was going to use this with the tray, but I knew I would find a purpose for it.

Then one day as I was cleaning out my studio I placed this piece of fabric on the tray and the idea came to me to pair these pieces together.

I cut the fabric piece to fit inside this tray, then decopauged this to the tray.

Isn’t this sweet!

I love all the colors on the flowers and the back ground is the perfect shade of robins egg blue.

I would love to keep this piece but it will be going into the shop very soon!

I just added several new items to the shop today.

Can you believe we will be changing the clocks back this weekend?

This has been a long winter,it will be nice to start enjoying more sunshine.

Looking forward to gardening,I would like to bring my flowers in from my garden for a change.

But glad to be able to enjoy these sweet roses.

Lovely! The fabric is so pretty. But wait, what do you mean you can decoupage fabric?????? I’ve never tried that and now I am intrigued!

ABOUT THIS BLOG

ABOUT THIS BLOG

Hi I'm Anne.
I started this blog many years ago to share my passion for home decor. My tastes have changed and so did I.
We recently moved to Florida and we are starting a new chapter. My main focus on this blog has shifted. With that I'll be sharing more than home decor.
You'll see makeup tips, skincare, fashion and a little bit of decor as well. You can check out my Youtube channel as well and follow me along. I'll leave all of my older posts up as a reference. But you'll see lots of changes.
