A Chandelier Adds Sparkle To A Room

November 1, 2013

A chandelier adds  sparkle to a room, don’t you agree?

Ever since I was a child I was always drawn to things with glitz and sparkle.

I was also drawn to lip gloss that had that pretty shimmer and shine.

It’s no wonder that I love adding a little sparkle  into every room in my home.

I recently shared that I added a chandelier to my bedroom. with my master bedroom make over.

You can read about it HERE.

I had to use the chandelier from my family room to do this.

You can read about that HERE in my fall home tour.

I knew I wanted to keep my chandelier in my bedroom and also keep one in my family room.

I found this at Hobby Lobby, and if you remember I said I wanted to wait until it went on sale.

And this week it did so I picked one up.

Over the summer I found an old standing lamp base at a garage sale.

I held on to it knowing I would find a use for it.

You may  remember seeing it in my recent post about my studio craft room, you can read about that HERE.

I did not want to hang the chandelier  from the ceiling ,although I thought it would look pretty hanging from something.

Then I had a light bulb moment and remembered this stand.

When I first put it here it was too short.

Then I had another light bulb moment!

What if I take my sweet little chippy pink rusty table and add this on top.

It is a glass table but this base and chandelier is not very heavy so I knew it could support it.

And it worked perfectly!

Don’t you love when an idea really works out the way you had hoped it would.

That table was a find last spring when I did the vintage market.

Love this wonderful chippy pink table, the color and patina is perfection to me!

I may pick up one more of these chandeliers and add it to the right side of the bed.

Getting ready to start some Christmas crafts.

Hoping to get started next week!

I would love to have a chandelier in our room and I would also love to have a chaise lounge. Maybe one day.

    Your style is wonderful.

A chandelier doesn’t really fit with my style so I get my pleasure looking at lovely chandeliers in other’s blogs.

ABOUT THIS BLOG

Hi I'm Anne.
I started this blog many years ago to share my passion for home decor. My tastes have changed and so did I.
We recently moved to Florida and we are starting a new chapter. My main focus on this blog has shifted. With that I'll be sharing more than home decor.
You'll see makeup tips, skincare, fashion and a little bit of decor as well. You can check out my Youtube channel as well and follow me along. I'll leave all of my older posts up as a reference. But you'll see lots of changes.
