Last Getaway …Door County

August 8, 2013

Last weekend my family and I went on our last little getaway before school starts. We took a trip to one of our favorite places Door County Wisconsin.

Time goes by so fast.I cannot believe our summer break ends next week.

So much more I wanted to do.But we had an amazing summer together.

So many wonderful memories….talks….walks…

The weather was perfect…72 and perfectly sunny.

I enjoyed the fresh smell of the water and soft breeze on my face….and looking at my daughter who before my eyes has grown up so fast and into such a funny…smart….caring…beautiful young lady.

And even though she is growing her heart and spirit is young.

Just before we left for our trip she ran up to me and said “Mom I am going outside to catch butterflies”…and off she went catching butterflies…..enjoying the last days of her summer break.

Beautiful boats all lined up ready to head back.Summer is almost over for these beauties.

And the most amazing rainbow I have ever seen.Photos don’t do it justice it was so vibrant and was actually a double rainbow. But it was hard to capture on a photo. It was amazing….spectacular…..it really summed up our summer vacation this year!

And a sunset to remember.Absolutely gorgeous!

We have some fall adventures lined up.And and I still have not shared our Disney trip.

Hmmm I may just keep those special moments between me and my family.

What a lovely time, Anne! The kids and I are about to head off from Colorado to my hometown in southern California to make some end-of-summer family memories as well. Thanks for sharing your beautiful trip!

ABOUT THIS BLOG

ABOUT THIS BLOG

Hi I'm Anne.
I started this blog many years ago to share my passion for home decor. My tastes have changed and so did I.
We recently moved to Florida and we are starting a new chapter. My main focus on this blog has shifted. With that I'll be sharing more than home decor.
You'll see makeup tips, skincare, fashion and a little bit of decor as well. You can check out my Youtube channel as well and follow me along. I'll leave all of my older posts up as a reference. But you'll see lots of changes.
