New Changes With A Little Coco

November 1, 2012

I think I am finally done with my kitchen.I hope you all are not sick of seeing photos of my ever changing kitchen. This should do it for now!
There are few things that need to be completed as in the floor under the desk and the trim too.I still have not gotten to that yet.But that will come in time.Even with those few things I thought I would share with you my final kitchen reveal.
Do you remember how it looked before I started any of the changes?Well HERE is a reminder of how it looked.
I just added the hardware to the kitchen desk and you might also notice that the Island is no longer duck egg blue. You can see that before HERE

I did  like duck egg blue. But I was thinking a color that was a bit more neutral would be better on my eyes for such a big piece.Funny thing Mr. cottage has not mentioned to me at all yet if I changed the color.I guess he is used to my changes.

Yes much nicer!

Finally added the hardware to the cabinets above the desk! And I changed it a bit up on top too!

A gathering basket found at an antique shop.I just added a bit of lavender and a few zinc pots!

Another view looking out through our den. This has been some project! But I really love the results. The next room I am going to start on is my bedroom.I may not share that until it is complete. And now with the Holidays approaching it may take a bit of time too.Lots of painting in that room too including my pine bedroom set.It really needs an update!

Looks great! I’m working on my kitchen too, but it’s not nearly as grand as yours. It’s rather little really, but that’s all I can afford anyways. It’s amazing what kitchen stuff costs. I love all the white.

Your kitchen is so beautiful!! I really love the color duck egg blue, but I do think the coco looks better on your island. It goes so nicely with all the other things in your lovely kitchen!

I really love it! I looked back at the older posts to remind me how it used to look. It has come a long way from how it started! I think painting your cabinets white and the island coco (is that right?) has completely transformed your kitchen the most. I love how your barstools look too. They fit in perfectly with the farmhouse style you’re doing. Step back and be proud of all of your hard work. I bet your master bedroom will turn out great too.

I am checking out websites on how to change my kitchen. I absolutely love your kitchen. I have these dated oak cabinets, and have her different versions of how to paint them. I have so many cabinets that it’s going to take a while. Have to get the shiny surface off of the cabinets before paint. Also, is it better to have a light floor with white cabinets, or a dark floor? It’s a kitchen/dining room.
    Tanks for any help!

ABOUT THIS BLOG

ABOUT THIS BLOG

Hi I'm Anne.
I started this blog many years ago to share my passion for home decor. My tastes have changed and so did I.
We recently moved to Florida and we are starting a new chapter. My main focus on this blog has shifted. With that I'll be sharing more than home decor.
You'll see makeup tips, skincare, fashion and a little bit of decor as well. You can check out my Youtube channel as well and follow me along. I'll leave all of my older posts up as a reference. But you'll see lots of changes.
