Farmhouse tote, white gourds and a lavender sachet

October 16, 2012

I am taking a little break from my home projects.I still have to add the hardware to our cabinets.I need Mr. Cottage to help me with that.We were trying to fix a leaky toilet this past weekend and  it is still not fixed.

This past weekend I sold my french table set that I shared with you.I added a few more pieces to my space and then sold those as well.I did not even have a chance to take photos to share.I am low on furniture inventory so today I need to get out and shop for some things to paint.I have a few small pieces I will work on.But I need some larger pieces too!

Today I wanted to share a tote on found recently at a local antique shop.

LOVE this old tool tote! I am showing this on my farmhouse kitchen table but I am using it in my family room on our blanket chest.I want to paint that…… yes I know I want to paint more.I  have not had time to paint that yet.It looks so much better against this white table.
I added some vintage books that I took the covers off.
LOVE those little white gourds too!Fresh from our farmers market. An old milk bottle found at a thrift store.

I need to add some flowers to that bottle!
And what is that on top of my books?A lavender sachet from Maria at Dreamy Whites.

This smells heavenly! I received this sachet with my order that I placed for this French Market Bag. I have not had time to photograph it yet.I am thrilled with this basket! I am using it today at the market and will come in handy on road trips or fun days out! And looks great just hanging on my ladder!

I also found a gathering basket I will share soon.It found a place in my kitchen!
What are you up to today?

Great tote, Anne! I always check them out when I see them at the thrift store or the local antique mart. Keeping in mind that they can be made over {because some of them you wouldn’t look twice at}. This one looks great on your table and I like how you accessorized it.

Love the tote and her sachets do smell wonderful. Ann at Sutton Place designs has nice ones, too. I am glad these ladies make them.

I have Leila today so that is what I am doing and must get the party post done for tonight.

Once the painting bug bites, it’s hard to stop! I really like that table you did! And I love your tote! Very pretty. Isn’t it nice when you get a little something extra with your online orders? The sachet is so cute!

    Have a great week, Anne!

I just love those old wood totes! I’ve got mine on our dining room table, but it’s still got the pinecones from last winter in it. I better pick up some mini pumpkins before they’re all gone!

I have a weakness for totes, so I love it, Anne. Let’s see, I’m still playing with clay, and frowning at the two remaining walls in my living room that are yet to be painted.

YAY for you that your inventory is moving! That’s a good thing but I know it must keep you busy. I love your tote and the way you have it accessorized. Enjoy your evening and don’t work too hard, Gail

The pumpkins and books look so perfect in that tote. Trays, baskets, anything like that just makes unrelated items look great together.

I completely understand about the “painting bug”! Ha! I love your little wooden tool caddy. It reminds me of those berry crates I’ve seen around. I like how you filled it up with old books and mini pumpkins too.

I love totes myself and do have a few! I love your tote vignette, very pretty. I picked up a lavender sachet at September’s 3 French Hens Market in Morris. Our tote’s are very similar!

ABOUT THIS BLOG

Hi I'm Anne.
I started this blog many years ago to share my passion for home decor. My tastes have changed and so did I.
We recently moved to Florida and we are starting a new chapter. My main focus on this blog has shifted. With that I'll be sharing more than home decor.
You'll see makeup tips, skincare, fashion and a little bit of decor as well. You can check out my Youtube channel as well and follow me along. I'll leave all of my older posts up as a reference. But you'll see lots of changes.
