Old Ochre Cottage

Over the weekend I was finishing painting a table set I had planned on adding to my space 417 .I did a mix of Annie Sloan old white and old ochre.

I love the richness of this color!I think that mismatched chair adds a bit of whimsy don’t you?
That fabric was found a while back at a thrift store.I found a whole bolt of it!

Sort of a cottage shabby look.

The dishes were a fun find too.Very retro from the 60′s I think.

I am in love with those pink cups! I wish I could keep them but that’s the life of a antique junk queen!

I am thinking this set won’t last long!

  15. Hello, Dear! I’ve come to your blog from the blog of one of my sweet commenters ~ you know how that goes ~ :) ~ Now following you!
This is wonderful…my favorite furniture finish, now…I did a large hall piece a couple of months ago but didn’t do any distressing until I had it in place…my teenage son went by and said “Oh, Mom, you’re going to have to touch this up!” ;) So nice to “meet” you!
    Hugs,

Your setting is very sweet and the china is too,I don’t think I could part with them.
When I buy something I can’t resist,( because of lack of space),I have to sell something I already have to make room Crazy aren’t I?

  19. Oh, Anne, I just LOVE that dining room table. And the fabric is beautiful. I keep wondering how much it would cost to have it shipped to California . . . and then I think, the shipping would probably cost more than the set itself : )

You did a beautiful job! I’m sure it will sell quickly.
